Scroll down to find my path from university to now.
I'm working on some personal projects. More details soon.
I led the Android Rider Experience team and brought the Waymo Driver to people in San Francisco, Phoenix, and elsewhere, so if you ride Waymo you're using my work. I built various highly polished features (mostly focused on the current and upcoming ride), created infrastructure to support other engineers (for both features and tests), pioneered Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, helped colleagues get their work done with mentoring, collaboration, and consultation.
I built communication products at Google as part of the Android Messages team (later rebranded to Google Messages), so if you're a green bubble you're using my work. I architected the watch OS app, built critical pieces of the phone conversation screen (including the emoji/gif/sticker picker), pioneered Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, and created infrastructure to eliminate dead code at scale.
I worked for various startups and large organisations. I built the world's first government-sponsored digital drivers license, banking software for a handful of small banks, voting assistance apps, welfare systems, and more.
I graduated with first class honours and achieved distinctions in various domains including robotics, control systems, mathematics, manufacturing, stress analysis, programming, system design, communications, vibration analysis, thermodynamics, sustainable design, mechanical statics, mechanical dynamics, power electronics, fluid mechanics and physics.
